Your Main Responsibilities
As a
Care Coordinator & Operations Support
, you will play a central role in managing care delivery, supporting carers, and ensuring operational excellence. Your duties will include:
Care Coordination & Scheduling
Create, manage, and update weekly staff rotas ensuring all client visits are covered efficiently.
Match care staff to clients based on skills, location, and compatibility.
Respond promptly to changes, absences, or emergency cover needs -- maintaining seamless service continuity.
Support in coordinating care assessments, reviews, and service plans as required.
Operations & Office Support
Provide operational support to management, ensuring smooth day-to-day office functioning.
Handle client and carer enquiries professionally via phone, email, and in person.
Maintain accurate care records, documentation, and databases in compliance with CQC standards.
Assist with payroll preparation and invoicing processes where required.
Prepare weekly reports, timesheets, and updates for management review.
Field Support & On-Call Responsibilities
Be flexible and willing to step in for emergency care calls when needed to ensure continuity of service.
Participate in the on-call rota -- providing out-of-hours support on some weekends (extra pay provided).
Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and field support visits to carers and clients.
Support new carers in the field to ensure they are confident and delivering care to our high standards.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all care delivery meets CQC regulations and PureSoul Care's policies.
Maintain up-to-date carer files including training, DBS, right-to-work, and compliance checks.
Support in internal audits, incident management, and continuous improvement activities.
Promote a culture of excellence, safety, and respect throughout the organisation.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be organised, proactive, and genuinely passionate about care.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum
2 years' experience
in a care coordination or similar role within domiciliary or home care.
Full
UK driving licence
and access to a vehicle.
Full
Right to Work in the UK
.
Strong understanding of
CQC standards
and compliance requirements.
Excellent
communication and organisational skills
.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies professionally.
Confidence using IT systems (care management software, Excel, Word, email, etc.).
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience supporting payroll, invoicing, or administrative duties.
Knowledge of the local Reading area and surrounding communities.
