We are looking for an organised, empathetic, and reliable Admin Worker to join our dedicated team at Star Care Lodge, a high-quality residential and supported living care provider in Gillingham. This role is a key behind-the-scenes position supporting the smooth and effective operation of our care home, with a special focus on ensuring that our administrative, scheduling, communication, and compliance systems run to the highest standards.

Requirements

Experience:

Previous administrative or office support experience is desirable, ideally in a healthcare or social care setting. Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions is essential.

Qualifications:

GCSEs or equivalent required. Further qualifications in business administration or healthcare admin are a plus.

Skills:

Excellent communication, IT literacy (especially in Microsoft Office), time management, and attention to detail.

Flexibility:

Willingness to support across multiple services and adapt to changing administrative needs.

Confidentiality:

Strong understanding of data protection and safeguarding practices.

Enhanced DBS Check:

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the care team, including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate resident records. Answer phone calls and emails, and handle general enquiries from families, professionals, and staff. Manage staff rotas, shift changes, and appointment scheduling in coordination with team leaders. Support with onboarding and DBS checks for new team members. Maintain office supplies, update care logs, and ensure paperwork is filed in line with GDPR and CQC standards. Assist in preparing documentation for audits, reviews, and staff training. Help coordinate meetings, take minutes, and distribute relevant information to staff. Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and external professionals to support smooth day-to-day operations.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
