We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Care Home Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the care home are hygienic, well-maintained, and comfortable. Your attention to detail and commitment to sanitation will directly contribute to the health and well-being of our residents, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere every day.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and hallways using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, floors, and fixtures regularly Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and residents' clothing Ensure floors are properly cared for through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor polishing as needed Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries to ensure availability at all times Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent contamination or accidents Respond promptly to residents' requests for assistance or additional cleaning needs by passing on to Senior Carer

Requirements

Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or housekeeping management is preferred Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment Experience with laundry procedures and floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning and polishing Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols Excellent communication skills to interact courteously with residents and team members Previous hotel or custodial experience is a plus but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
