to join our team at

Ashton View Nursing

Home,

Wigan Road, Ashton-in-Makefield, Wigan

.

Working three days a week 7am- 5pm, with every other weekend involved

. 30hr contact.

Ashton View

is a Nursing home catering for up to 58 residents. The home specialises in Dementia & Nursing, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

About the role:

The role of Cook will require you to ensure that nutritious and beautifully presented meals are provided for our residents. You will work on a rota opposite the head Chef, so leadership skills are required.

it is desirable the post holder possess a NVQ level 2 in catering, and Qualifications in Food Hygiene and First Aid.

About you:

You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standards for residents in our care. You will be an energetic, friendly team player with good organisation and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure effectively. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to residents with varying needs, tastes and dietary requirements.


Ideal candidates will have previous residential home or hotel experience with the ability to prepare meals for 50 or more residents. You will be dependable and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home.
