We are seeking an experienced Cook to work 26 to 36 hours per week in our care home's kitchen, preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our 70 residents. We believe that our catering team play an essential role in providing a high-quality service to our residents.

We are currently looking for an experienced, creative and passionate Cook to join our team.
The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen environment, and will enjoy preparing great tasting, nutritious meals for large numbers of people. You will also be expected to spend time with our residents learning their likes and dislikes to ensure they are accommodated within the weekly menu.
You should have:
A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
A good understanding of nutrition
Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
Confidence engaging with residents to create appetising and nutritious menus
Good understanding of HACCP
You will be required to:
Assist our senior cooks with the kitchen on a day-to-day basis
Step up and manage the kitchen on a day-to-day basis when senior cooks are on annual leave
Assist in menu development
Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest quality and standards
Create a good natured, efficient and fun environment
Work within budget
Assist with regular audits
Assist with ordering and stock control
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
