Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards Assist in the preparation of a wide range of dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation quality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling and storage Support team members during busy periods, ensuring timely service delivery Assist with meal plating and presentation for service Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and report any faults

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a culinary environment is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food presentation Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
