Allandale Care Group runs and operates two Residential Care Homes on the heart of the Wirral. We provide the 'homely' feel your loved one will thrive in whilst our professional, dedicated, and compassionate team ensures their safety, dignity, and individuality.

Both our Homes are tastefully decorated, with beautiful gardens and our own state of the art minibus to take our much-loved residents on a variety of trips individualised and tailor made to everyone. They offer comfort, companionship, and home-from-home living.

Residents can feel part of a supported community, with sociable mealtimes, and a programme of activities and a chance to explore new, engaging opportunities. As part of our caring service, we encourage independence, freedom of choice and celebrate individuality.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary techniques, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standards. This role requires a commitment to food safety and quality, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during meal preparation and cooking processes. Assist in the planning of menus and the selection of ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts. Ability to prepare a variety of dishes with attention to detail and presentation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals that delight customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
