Cook - The Mountains Care Home (Bank/Zero-Hour)

Location: Libanus, near Brecon, Powys LD3 8EN
Pay: 13.80 per hour
Contract: Bank / Zero-Hour
Hours: 08:00-18:00 | Includes weekends & bank holidays (every other weekend off where possible)

Do you enjoy preparing wholesome meals that bring comfort and joy? We're looking for a bank Cook to join our team at The Mountains, a welcoming care home surrounded by the stunning Brecon Beacons.

About The Mountains

We provide specialist nursing care for adults aged 65+ living with dementia, Alzheimer's, and mental health needs. With a calm and homely environment, we focus on dignity, wellbeing, and nourishing both body and soul.

Your Role

Prepare fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard Plan menus tailored to residents' needs and preferences Cater for special diets, allergies, and texture-modified meals Order and manage stock within budget Keep a clean, safe kitchen, meeting all hygiene standards

What We're Looking For

? Previous cooking experience (care, school, or similar setting)
? Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential); Level 3 or HACCP desirable
? Knowledge of specialist diets and allergens
? Reliable and confident working independently
? A caring approach and pride in your cooking
