Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards Assist with food presentation to ensure an appealing appearance Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management Follow all health and safety guidelines during food preparation and service Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Support meal preparation for special events or dietary requirements as needed Ensure all food handling procedures meet hygiene standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable Skills in meal preparation and culinary techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Flexibility to adapt to various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required
