About the Role



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a

Clinical Deputy Manager

to join a well-established care home in Hadleigh. The successful candidate will support the Home Manager in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care that meets both regulatory and professional standards.

You will lead and motivate the nursing and care teams, ensuring person-centred care is consistently delivered and that residents are supported to maintain their dignity, choice, and wellbeing. In the absence of the Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall running of the service, ensuring compliance with CQC requirements and internal policies.

Key responsibilities include clinical oversight, auditing, staff supervision, medication management, care plan reviews, and maintaining accurate records. You will also liaise with residents, families, and external professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities



Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing and care teams. Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the care home. Ensure compliance with CQC and other regulatory requirements. Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing and care staff. Oversee medication administration and ensure accurate documentation. Conduct risk assessments, clinical audits, and care plan reviews. Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Support pre-admission assessments and transitions of care.

Skills and Attributes



Proven experience as a

Deputy Home Manager

or senior nurse in a care home setting. Strong leadership and communication skills. Good knowledge of

CQC standards

and clinical governance. Ability to manage, motivate, and support multidisciplinary teams. Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills. Empathetic, professional, and resident-focused approach to care.

Education and Qualifications



NMC Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN)

- essential. Proven clinical and leadership experience within a care setting
