About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate
Deputy Manager (Clinical)
to join our team at a well-established nursing home in Wroxham. You'll play a key leadership role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centred nursing care that promotes dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
As Deputy Manager, you'll support the Home Manager in overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of the home, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and ensuring residents receive the best possible care. You will provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to nursing and care staff while taking responsibility for clinical governance, audits, medication management, and documentation accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Home Manager in the daily running of the service and ensure high standards of care delivery.
Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and care teams.
Conduct clinical audits, review and update care plans, and ensure accurate documentation.
Oversee medication management and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Support pre-admission assessments, risk assessments, and ongoing evaluations of residents' needs.
Ensure a safe, caring, and supportive environment that reflects residents' individual preferences.
Requirements
Registered Nurse (NMC Pin required).
Previous experience as a
Deputy Home Manager
in a nursing home or similar setting.
Strong understanding of CQC standards and clinical governance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to engage with residents and families to promote personalised care.
Confident in safeguarding, risk assessment, and care planning procedures.
