We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our care team. The focus as a Host will assist with the preparation and serving of drinks / snacks for our residents at our Outstanding Care Home . Previous experience in Residential Care Home setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
Assist the kitchen team in the preparation of snacks and drinks.
Ensure food is presented and served in an appealing manor.
Understand the principles of safe food handling, to ensure all food preparations in the kitchen are completed to the highest standard of hygiene.
Maintain cleanliness in all working areas.
Understand the dietary requirements of the residents / visitors and ensure all appropriate guidelines are meet.
Ensure record keeping is completed where necessary.
Skills
Previous experience in a Residential Care Home an advantage, but not essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour
Ability to multitask and prioritise.
Knowledge of guest services principles and hospitality standards
A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and presentation
