We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services in care homes. Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the catering team during service times, including serving food when required Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed Support the team in setting up and clearing dining areas before and after service Assist with general kitchen duties to ensure smooth daily operations

Experience

Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a kitchen setting Experience working in a fast-paced environment is advantageous but not mandatory A genuine interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
