Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Morley Manor Residential Home in Leeds. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver nutritious meals and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment that enhances the wellbeing of our residents.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and meal service to ensure timely and nutritious offerings for residents. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area. Support catering activities during special events or regular meal times. Follow food safety regulations to ensure a safe dining environment. Help with inventory management and stock rotation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and stored. Contribute to a positive team environment focused on resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

Experience in catering, cooking, or food preparation within a kitchen setting is desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Good communication skills with team members. Previous experience in a healthcare or residential environment is advantageous. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. A positive attitude committed to resident wellbeing.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
