About the role

Our ambitious plans for the future will involve a 15m investment in new nursing and residential homes in the Weymouth area so we will shortly have openings for exceptional managers.



As a Home Manager, youaEUR(TM)ll lead the day-to-day operations of the home. YouaEUR(TM)ll need to be CQC-registered and confident navigating the legislation and regulatory standards that come with a regulated care environment. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding care, achieving financial targets, and maintaining full occupancy.



You wonaEUR(TM)t be doing it alone - youaEUR(TM)ll be supported by a dedicated Deputy Manager, Administrator, and on-site Hospitality and Housekeeping teams, as well as central support from our Operations and Quality teams. Together, youaEUR(TM)ll create a well-run, welcoming home where residents receive the highest standard of care.

Key duties and responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to the homeaEUR(TM)s staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy. Recruit, train, motivate, and retain a team of skilled care professionals committed to delivering person-centred care. Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC, and maintain excellent standards of care and support. Manage the homeaEUR(TM)s budget, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are effectively managed. Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to maintain full occupancy and promote the homeaEUR(TM)s services to potential residents, families, and stakeholders. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and all stakeholders, responding effectively to their needs and concerns. Oversee all records to ensure the homeaEUR(TM)s administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Continuously monitor and evaluate the homeaEUR(TM)s performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Manage and mitigate risks effectively, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.

Skills and attributes

Previous experience managing a nursing / residential home. A strong working knowledge of CQC standards with a proven record of working towards achieving Outstanding ratings. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external professionals, families, and visitors. A proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful care home. Enthusiasm and passion for developing high levels of person-centred care. Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service.

Education and qualification

Preferably NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (desirable but not essential).
