We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to creating high-quality meals in a Care home environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in food preparation and meal presentation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
