We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide high-quality support and assistance to residents in a Residential care home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, and senior care, with a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of those they serve. This role involves delivering personalised care, ensuring safety, and promoting a comfortable living environment for residents with diverse needs, including some with dementia, Alzheimer's, and hospice care. All positions are paid.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Provide medication administration following prescribed instructions
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Support clients with mobility and transfer needs
Manage behaviour and implement care plans for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in resident's condition
Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when needed
Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Experience
Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments or home care is highly desirable
Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices
Experience in caregiving roles involving medication administration and behaviour management
Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting residents.
