Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and autism. Monitor vital signs and observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely. Document patient care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home health care, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist clients with mobility challenges. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and caregiving best practices.
