Join Specialised Housing & Care in making a real difference for adults with complex needs. We're looking for one passionate Support Worker to deliver person-centred care across 24 hours each week.
About the Role
You'll help support:
Three adults who are visually impaired with profound learning disabilities
One adult with challenging behaviour
Your hours are organised via a four-weekly app rota and will include:
Day shifts (09:00 - 17:00)
Evening shifts (14:00 - 22:00)
Weekend shifts (09:00 - 17:00 or 14:00 - 22:00)
Night-Sleep Shifts
We also have a limited number of night-sleep shifts available. These can be picked up by anyone who'd like the extra hours (50.00 a night), or deployed at short notice to cover genuine emergencies
Key Responsibilities
Assist with personal care, mobility and daily routines
Encourage community access, hobbies and social engagement
Monitor health, report changes and follow care plans
Support mealtimes, household tasks and maintaining a safe environment
Build trusting relationships through consistent, compassionate support
Person Specification
We're seeking someone who:
Has a caring nature and genuine empathy
Communicates clearly and listens actively
Is reliable, flexible and works well in a small team
Holds experience or qualifications in social care (advantageous but not essential)
Full hands-on training, supervision and professional development will be provided for the right candidate.
