Job Description

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Care at Home and Nursing Home teams. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of care needs in their own homes or within residential care settings. You will play a key part in improving the quality of life for service users, promoting independence, dignity, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Support clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming Assist with safe mobility and manual handling, including using equipment and supporting transfers Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required Administer medication safely and monitor for any changes in health or well-being Provide companionship and emotional support, building positive and trusting relationships Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs Support individuals with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's Maintain accurate records and report concerns to senior staff promptly Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
What We're Looking For

Minimum 1 year of UK-based care experience (essential) Experience in care at home or residential/nursing home settings Confidence in handling complex care needs, including dementia and mobility support Knowledge of medication administration and care planning Understanding of safeguarding and infection control practices Strong communication skills and a caring, respectful attitude Valid UK driving licence (preferred, but not essential)
