Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting their independence.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions. Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals and adjust support based on client needs. Administer medication as prescribed while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Observe patients for any signs of distress or changes in behavior and report findings to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving or support roles within home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and team members. Understanding of patient rights under HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. A compassionate attitude towards supporting individuals with diverse needs.
