Key Responsibilities

Provide

personal care

, including assisting with

bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

. Support clients with

meal preparation

to meet their nutritional needs. Assist with

mobility and transfers

, following safety protocols, including the use of mobility aids. Help with

light housekeeping

to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Engage clients in

companionship and social activities

to enhance their emotional well-being. Implement

behaviour management strategies

to encourage positive interactions. Monitor clients'

health and well-being

, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Maintain

accurate and up-to-date care records

for continuity of care. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide

comprehensive, person-centred care

.

Skills & Requirements

Experience working in

nursing homes or homecare

is preferred. Knowledge of

first aid and emergency response protocols

.

Ability to drive

and transport clients when required (preferred). Strong

verbal and written communication skills

to interact effectively with clients and their families. A

compassionate, patient, and understanding approach

to care. Physically capable of performing

safe heavy lifting

when assisting with mobility.

Flexible and adaptable

, with the ability to respond to changing client needs and schedules.
