Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed. The Care Worker will ensure that the needs of our clients are met with dignity and respect, promoting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment. Ensure the safety and comfort of clients while adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via digital platforms. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation purposes. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
