This is a hybrid role with the primary work location as County Hall, Taunton, with arrangements for remote work, as per manager approval.

Salary is 21,255 to 23,829 per annum.
25 Days Annual Leave (pro rata for part time) - plus bank holidays.
What will I be doing?
We're working to improve the lives of young people in Somerset- and you'll be a key part of that. As a Careers Hub Project Officer, you will provide a comprehensive project support function to a range of Careers Projects, mainly funded by the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC).
Your day-to-day work will involve:
Supporting schools to sign up to the different CEC projects including the Primary Careers, Digital Futures and Future Ready projects
Supporting the Careers Hub and wider Careers & Pathways team to deliver ongoing work and administrative support, including events planning and support.
Helping schools to benefit from existing placed-based employer relationships when planning employer encounters for their pupils and staff.
Providing examples of evidenced best practice and opportunities to share good practice.
Ensuring schools have access to useful resources such as the Careers & Enterprise Company's Academy resources and Somerset Careers Hub resources
Providing input to and support contract management, financial reporting, and data analysis.
Working with the Expert Advisor Careers and Pathways and the Careers Hub Strategic Lead to identify any risk of failure by the projects to meet objectives, milestones, expenditure and/or output profiles and providing input to recommendations on how these risks are evaluated and addressed.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

Knowledge and experience of project support, including financial administration.
A Level or NVQ Level 3 qualifications and/or relevant work experience.
Excellent IT Skills with proficiency in use of Microsoft packages.
