Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those requiring additional care. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, companionship, and support in daily activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or in their own homes.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour. Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients have access to nutritious food. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Document care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing care to others. Experience in Dementia care or hospice care is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient care practices within assisted living or nursing home environments. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards caregiving responsibilities.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
