Summary

As a Caregiver at Visiting Angels, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing essential support and companionship in their homes. This position is based in Portobello. We are also recruiting for caregivers across Edinburgh and the Lothians as we are a growing service and always growing our team to match the demand for care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities to clients in their homes. Support clients with mobility and ensure their safety at all times. Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders as needed. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to home care.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care role is not essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving license is advantageous for travel between client locations. Above all else, personality and excellent soft communication skills are essential.
