Hourly pay rate:

16 for 45mins (equivalent to 21.33 per hr)

I am looking for one or more PA's to support my 93 year-old Aunt to enable her to continue living as independently as possible. As well as having progressive Dementia, she is severely sight impaired.

She has 4 daily visits to coincide with mealtimes to support her to eat. Other tasks include providing personal care, medication prompts, and tidying up.

You should be patient, friendly, understanding and respectful, able to use your own initiative and willing to encourage and motivate my Aunt.

You will have previous experience of care work and experience of someone with Dementia would be useful. Your most important qualification will be your capacity to work from your heart to care for this old lady.

Alternate weeks with differing shifts:

Week 1:

Friday evening 8.30-9.15pm
Saturday evening 8.30-9.15pm
Sunday evening 8.30-9.15pm

Week 2

Thursday evening 8.30-9.15pm

- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Administration
- Companionship
- Dressing / undressing
- Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Your most important qualification will be your capacity to work from your heart to care for this old lady.

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives. The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer. If the role is employed, you will be entitled to holiday pay and issued an employment contract.
