Finalists of the 2024 national Care Home awards
Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Surrey Hills, The Huntington & Langham Estate have exciting opportunities for special carers or Homemakers as we like to call them. On behalf of our residents, we are looking for friendly, naturally caring people with a genuine interest in providing daily enrichment, companionship and support in all aspects of daily living. You must be able to offer opportunities to share physical and emotional needs. Help new residents to settle into their new home and forge friendships. Create daily activities to enrich the daily living of our residents, from flower arranging to a simple walk in our gardens. Explore life stories to enable you to identify opportunities to reminisce. Share individual likes and dislikes with other staff. Promote meaningful activities that stimulate the wellbeing of our residents.
We follow a butterfly model of care to promote a family, homely feel to our homes. We do not wear uniforms and work to a high staff/resident ration to enable us to spend maximum time with our residents.
