Works range from repair and maintenance, bathroom/ kitchen fit outs to full scale building renovations. We are looking for joiners to work on our long-term contracts with local authorities. This work may involve installing windows/ doors, installing shop fronts, constructing stud walls etc. Depending on the contract, the work may either be in occupied or void properties.
Job Duties:
Fits and installs window frames, doors
, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim
Understanding technical drawings and how your work will fit within the building
Conducting site surveys
Creating design drawings, alongside sketches of the work needed and the specifications
Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs
Working with suppliers and sub-contractors
Estimating the materials needed for a job within budgetary contexts
Producing progress reports for senior managers.
Liases with client and assures them of the progress of their job
Follows health and safety standards at all times
Repairs and refurbishes existing building work
Skills and Qualifications:
Must have NVQ Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) in bench joinery along a pass at GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent). Must have full UK driving licence Collaborative, Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills, Decision-Making Ability, Good Listening Skills, Strong Verbal Communication, Customer-Service and Interpersonal Skills, Good Maths and English Skills, Excellent Trouble-Shooting Ability, Ability to work and co-ordinate with other trades
