We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and metal structures on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry and joinery techniques, as well as experience with power tools and hand tools. The successful applicant will contribute to a range of projects, including roofing, flooring, plasterboarding and ensuring high standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for craftsmanship and construction. Must be able to speak English fluently.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber or metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment safely and efficiently
Install structures such as roofing frameworks, staircases, cabinetry, or other joinery elements on-site
Assist with heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials to ensure smooth workflow
Perform basic carpentry tasks including cutting, shaping, fitting, and finishing woodwork
Support plumbing, electrical, masonry, or construction painting tasks as required within project scope
Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety standards
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as masons, electricians, plumbers, and painters to complete projects efficiently
Skills
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery
Proficient in the use of hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers alongside power tools including drills and saws
Knowledge of roofing techniques and masonry work is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during project tasks
Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems or construction painting is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual labour tasks in various weather conditions
