We're hiring:Carpenter & Project Manager

The Walcot Group is looking for a Carpenter & Project Manager. This is a broad role and,depending on experience,will oversee smaller fit out projects,ensuring they are completed on time,within budget,and to the required quality standards. The role requires solid project management and a background in carpentry is crucial. This role will involve coordinating refurbishments,renovations,or repairs where carpentry is a significant component.

What we're after;

Project oversight:

Manage and coordinate carpentry projects from planning to completion,ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.

Subcontractor and team management:

Oversee the performance of subcontractors and motivate the project team,ensuring everyone is engaged and motivated.

Material and logistics:

Coordinate material procurement,deliveries,and storage to support project progress.

Quality and compliance:

Ensure high-quality finishes are achieved and that projects meet all health and safety standards and other compliance requirements.

Financial management:

Apply financial controls,track costs,manage budgets.

Stakeholder communication:

Provide regular updates to all stakeholders on project progress.

Required skills and experience;

Project management experience:

Typically requires 5+ years of experience in project management

Technical knowledge:

Strong technical competence and a solid understanding of carpentry and related trades are essential.

Communication:

The ability to work with a team,manage relationships,and communicate effectively with various stakeholders is crucial.

Financial acumen:

Proficiency in managing project budgets.

Software proficiency:

Experience with GSuite ideal.e guests feel welcome and at home.
