Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in various construction techniques and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and installation of structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Replace and install sash windows Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials Use power tools and hand tools effectively to perform tasks such as cutting, shaping, and joining materials Assemble frameworks for roofs, walls, and floors according to specifications Carry out masonry work as required for various projects Perform electrical installations as needed in conjunction with carpentry tasks Fabricate custom pieces based on project requirements Conduct heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion within deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter Practical experience working on sash windows Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and masonry skills is an advantage Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites
