Carrier & Freight Manager | Retailer | Manchester | Salary up to \xc2\xa345,000 + Great Benefits

Zachary Daniels are excited to be partnering with a fast growing retailer who are specialists in their industry. We are seeking a driven and passionate Carrier & Freight Manager to lead a deliver best in class service to customers.

The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, be self-motivated and hands-on with previous exposure to working within a fast based distribution or warehouse environment.

The role as Carrier & Freight Manager:

• Accountable for engaging, developing and continuously reviewing the delivery solutions strategy for the region, including delivering proposition enhancements.
• Responsible for controlling and driving down customer LITs (Lost in Transit) and WISMOs (Where is My Order) which have a direct impact on our bottom line.
• Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies & customers.
• Managing c.\xc2\xa35-\xc2\xa310 million Logistics budget for carriers & logistics.

• Coaches & leads a team to develop, build & strengthen carrier network through existing & new carrier relationships.
• Identification of CI methodology to all aspects of carrier networks & service delivery metrics
• Leads analysis in areas such as pricing/negotiating of contract bids areas/lanes of interest, in order to drive service enhancements.
• Collaborates with the management team to identify, define & implement carrier support to accommodate current state of service, to include analysing entire business portfolio to create optimal mix of efficiency, reliability & profitability from our supplier base.
• Establishes & leads carrier performance tracking and carrier review process improvements, to include regularly coordinating carrier monthly reviews to hold carriers accountable.
• Reports business performance to leadership as needed to identify & control gaps in service, costs, refunds service offering to our customer base.

The candidate will have/be:

• Supply Chain/freight forwarding experience is advantageous.
• Experience & motivate to achieve best in class operations.
• Good understanding and knowledge of international delivery network. Including but not limited to, Incoterms, partners in region, tax and duty de minimis.
• Ability to communicate information effectively, in a clear & concise manner.
• Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office products to record, analyse and share information.
