Cask Handler/Warehouse Operative

The Auchtermuchty Bond are currently recruiting for Cask Handlers/Warehouse Operatives to join our Maturation warehouses on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, friendly team. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be working within our Warehousing facilities, which is a key part of our Company's mission to supply high quality warehouse services and bottling of spirits to a global network of customers

The main duties of the role are as follows:

Stowing and de-stowing of casks from modern racking and traditional dunnage warehouses Re-gauging and re-racking of casks. Disgorging of casks for bottlings Carrying out reductions for bottlings & blending activities Supporting stock checks and efficient use of our inventory control system Carrying out warehouse walkarounds to identify any potential issues with casks Completing and recording quality checks Ensuring hygiene of equipment to a high standard Following all SOP's and instructions diligently Adhering to Health and Safety policies and Risk Assessments Driving performance through continuous improvement

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Great attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. Experience of working within a warehouse environment (working within the spirits industry would be a distinct advantage). The ability to work as part of a team, ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with the company requirements. The ability to manage numerous tasks whilst managing your time effectively. Experience of Forklift Counter balance although training can be provided to the right candidate
