Brockhole on Windermere is now hiring Casual Duty Managers to support our smooth and safe operations at the Lake District Visitor Centre this 2025 season. As the first point of contact for staff and visitors, you'll manage customer queries, handle on-site incidents, and support the delivery of public events. Shifts are available primarily on weekends and during school holidays.




What will I be doing?


You'll work mainly at weekends and during the school holidays, including weekends and weekdays, from approximately 9am to 7pm. Your professional and calm communicator with a flexible can-do attitude.


Oversee the visitor experience, including car park management and clear signage Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring a professional service Assist with administrative tasks and customer experience improvements Support the delivery of private functions, weddings, and events Ensure the site operates safely, following health & safety procedures Lead responses to emergencies, including fire evacuations and accidents



What we're looking for


Previous experience in customer service, event management, or site operations A professional and calm communicator with a flexible can-do attitude Ability to manage emergencies calmly and effectively



A First Aid certification is required, and a full driving license is also preferred
