Learning Development Assistant - Arts/Heritage


This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning Arts Council England funded National Portfolio Organisation and Sandford Award winning heritage education team.


North Lincolnshire Council is recruiting a casual Arts/ Heritage Learning Development Assistants for the Arts and Heritage Learning Team.


The Arts and Heritage Learning Team are responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of projects and programmes to support learning opportunities across North Lincolnshire.


Arts & Heritage Learning has a remit to provide Arts and Heritage based formal and informal learning experiences for a diverse range of visitors, including schools, families and community groups. Our main venues are North Lincolnshire Museum, Normanby Hall Country Park and 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, though we deliver services at a wide range of venues throughout North Lincolnshire.


You will be experienced at providing excellent customer service and delivering engaging, interactive workshops to a diverse range of visitors, including schools, families and community groups. You will have experience and expertise in developing arts/heritage themed workshops for schools and the skills to deliver them to a high standard.


You will have a teaching qualification or equivalent and knowledge of the current National Curriculum. Your excellent communication and organisational skills will help you deal with multiple priorities and service demands in a calm and flexible manner.


Casual work may also include weekend and evening work.


Learning Development Assistants will be required to play historical characters and to wear a supplied costume.


North Lincolnshire is a rural area with picturesque villages and an urban centre with a number of award winning cultural venues including 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, North Lincolnshire Museum and Normanby Hall Country Park. It is within easy reach of the North East and the East Midlands. The motorway network enables easy access to major cities.
