Active Luton is a community wellbeing trust offering leisure and sport, health and wellbeing, community outreach, training and education and Luton's library services. Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to join our team as Casual Library Support Assistants. Working across our network of community libraries, you'll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our library services.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting customers with book loans, returns, and general enquiries Supporting users with digital services and library IT systems Helping to maintain an organised, welcoming library environment Supporting events, activities, and reading programmes for all age groups Working as part of a friendly team to promote reading and lifelong learning
Essential Requirements:

A friendly, approachable manner and strong communication skills Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including evenings and weekends Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems A commitment to excellent customer service and community engagement Previous experience in a customer-facing role is desirable but not essential
