Job Description
Skea Egg Farms Ltd is a significant player in the agri-food sector supplying eggs to major retailers in Northern Ireland and mainland UK. We are currently offering the following position based at Skea:
LORRY DRIVER - Casual (Sat Cover)
Reporting to the Intake Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
POSITION PURPOSE:
To collect eggs from suppliers and deliver to the factory to ensure customer orders are fulfilled whilst also ensuring food safety, legality and quality
Duties:
Collect eggs from egg suppliers and deliver to Skea Eggs. This includes the loading and unloading of lorries in a safe and efficient manner
Adhere to health and safety, hygiene and quality procedures
Liaise with appropriate departments to plan and organise schedules
Ensure equipment is available for start-up each day and lorries and pallets are fit for purpose
Accurately complete administrative tasks within agreed procedures and timescales to ensure quality standards and systems are maintained
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Contribute towards achieving and maintaining a positive working environment
Promote good equal opportunities practice
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Previous lorry driving experience (Class 2);
CPC trained;
reliable & self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative;
flexibility regarding working hours
