Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing exceptional guest experiences. This position involves assisting with food preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for events and functions. Set up and break down catering equipment and service areas before and after events. Provide excellent guest services by ensuring that all guests are attended to promptly and courteously. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of meals. Support bartending duties as needed, including serving beverages and maintaining bar cleanliness. Assist with inventory management, including tracking supplies and reporting shortages. Engage positively with guests, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding catering services.

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for culinary arts and hospitality is highly desirable. Bartending experience is a plus but not mandatory.
