Catering Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee our catering operations. We have three establishments to oversee: Lakeside Cafe (with a brand new extension), Play Barn, Ice Cream Parlour. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food preparation, ensuring that all events are executed seamlessly and to the highest standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Complete all relevant paperwork: Stock & Order forms, SSFB book, Cleaning rotas, Allergens etc Supervise kitchen staff and front of house teams, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and regulations, food quality control, portion control, presentation Develop menus in collaboration with clients, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas Manage inventory and ordering of supplies necessary for catering services. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery. Conduct training sessions for staff on food safety practices and customer service excellence. Creating 4 weekly Rota with full and part time staff.

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality management or a related field, with a strong focus on catering services. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Previous experience supervising staff in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.
