We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager to oversee our catering operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food production and service. You will be responsible for managing catering events, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach to supervising staff and coordinating with kitchen teams to create memorable dining experiences for our clients.
Duties
Plan, organise, and execute catering events from start to finish, ensuring all client specifications are met.
Supervise and lead a team of catering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Collaborate with culinary teams to develop menus that meet client needs while adhering to food safety regulations.
Manage inventory for catering supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is adequately stocked for events.
Train staff on food safety practices, service standards, and equipment usage to maintain a high level of professionalism.
Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, utilising your culinary skills in a kitchen environment.
Build strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Monitor event budgets and costs, working within financial constraints while delivering exceptional service.
Requirements
Proven experience in a restaurant or catering environment with a focus on team management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively.
Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques is essential.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.
Experience in bartending is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
