We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee all aspects of catering operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising catering services to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. The Catering Manager will play a pivotal role in managing teams, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Duties
Plan and coordinate catering menus in collaboration with clients and kitchen staff, ensuring variety and quality.
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to meet organisational standards and health regulations.
Oversee the entire catering team, including supervising kitchen staff, servers, and other personnel.
Manage the organisation of events, including setup, service, and breakdown of catering functions.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain proper hygiene practices across all catering activities.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste and optimise resources.
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, provide customised solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills in food production, serving, and hospitality service.
Maintain detailed records of operations, staff schedules, health & safety documentation, and client feedback.
Implement continuous improvements in service delivery to enhance efficiency and quality.
Experience
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
Supervising experience with a track record of team management in catering or hospitality settings.
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Experience working in hotels or large-scale event catering is highly desirable.
Familiarity with restaurant or barista operations can be advantageous but is not essential.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles that demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
