The Governing Body would like to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented Catering Manager to our team.
We are looking for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for food with excellent communication skills and an excellent understanding of how to manage nutritional and dietary requirements in a school environment. We require a Catering Manager who will complement and lead our wider catering team in school.
The ideal candidate will have:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Catering
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
Relevant experience in a senior position within a large scale catering establishment
Experience in supervision and training of staff
Demonstrate knowledge of recipes, methods of production, menu planning and costings
Demonstrate understanding of HACCP's and COSHH
Demonstrate details of your capability in completing documentation and financial returns
Demonstrate understanding of the daily routine of a kitchen supervisor
Be able to provide good customer care and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of budgeting, food storage and stock control
Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures
Demonstrate experience in Healthy Nutritional Balanced Menus
Demonstrate understanding of achieving financial performance targets
The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
