Role Overview
A Restaurant Catering Manager is responsible for ensuring that all catering operations run smoothly, from menu planning to event execution. They act as the bridge between the restaurant team and clients, guaranteeing premium service and memorable dining experiences.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Coordination
- Work with clients to design catering packages tailored to events (corporate, weddings, VIP nights).
- Schedule and oversee catering staff during events.
- Menu Development
- Collaborate with chefs to create menus that reflect the restaurant's brand and cuisine.
- Adjust offerings for dietary needs and cultural preferences.
- Operational Management
- Supervise food preparation and service to maintain high standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Financial Oversight
- Manage catering budgets, pricing, and profitability.
- Track expenses and negotiate supplier contracts.
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage catering staff.
- Motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Client Relations
- Act as the main point of contact for clients.
- Handle feedback, resolve issues, and build long-term relationships
