We are seeking a skilled and experienced Demolition Supervisor to oversee demolition projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be well-versed in various demolition techniques and safety protocols. This role requires effective leadership, the ability to read drawings, and hands-on experience with a variety of tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate demolition activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
Manage a team of workers, providing guidance and training as necessary to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Conduct site inspections to assess progress, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Utilize construction estimating skills to prepare accurate cost assessments for demolition projects.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment on-site.
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute demolition tasks effectively.
Oversee the safe removal of materials such as concrete, plastering, masonry, roofing, and flooring during demolition processes.
Implement restoration techniques as needed following demolition activities.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction management or a related field with a focus on demolition projects.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is essential for overseeing site activities safely.
Ability to read drawings and schematics accurately is crucial for effective project execution.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining a safe work environment.
