Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and best practices. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and special dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Stay updated on culinary trends to incorporate innovative ideas into the menu.

Skills

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Excellent meal preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests. Good communication skills to work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
