We are looking for an experienced chef to build the team and help us launch our new food concept at the flagship pub.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and new dish development. Manage inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices. Monitor portion sizes and presentation standards to maintain the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a professional kitchen Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and sustainability practices Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving Passion for food, creativity and innovation in the kitchen Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
