About The Energy Training Academy
The Energy Training Academy is a modern, purpose-built training centre based in Dalkeith. We deliver high-quality training across gas, electrical, and renewables, helping to prepare the workforce for Scotland's journey to Net Zero.
As an LCL Awards and NICEIC approved centre, we're proud to work with employers, and industry partners to create new entrant opportunities in sustainable building services and low-carbon technologies.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Centre Manager to lead our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced trainer or assessor who's ready to step up into a senior management position.
The Centre Manager will oversee all aspects of training delivery, compliance, and operational excellence within the academy.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the training centre
Ensure full compliance with
LCL Awards
,
NICEIC
, and Health & Safety requirements
Lead and support the team of trainers and assessors
Plan and coordinate training schedules, classrooms, and resources
Maintain accurate records, policies, and quality assurance systems
Liaise with awarding bodies, employers, and partners
Support the development of new training programmes
Monitor learner performance, satisfaction, and certification outcomes
Contribute to business development and help grow the centre's reach
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Experienced in a technical training environment (ideally in
gas, plumbing, or renewables
)
Knowledgeable in compliance and quality assurance procedures
Highly organised, proactive, and confident managing people
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Computer literate and detail-driven
Qualified in training, assessing, or internal verification would be desirable, but not essential.
