Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and a keen eye for detail. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications. This role requires proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas accurately. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives. Lay out tile patterns according to design specifications and ensure proper alignment. Apply grout and sealants to finished tile installations for durability and aesthetics. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process.

Skills

Strong knowledge of construction techniques and practices. Proficiency in using hand tools such as tile cutters, chisels, and trowels. Experience with power tools including drills and saws. Basic carpentry skills to assist with preparation tasks. Ability to read and interpret schematics and design plans accurately. Familiarity with construction painting techniques is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
