Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Duties

Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas, following schematics and design plans. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, smoothing, and applying necessary adhesives. Lay out tiles according to design specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to install tiles, including cutting tools and trowels. Conduct repairs on existing tile installations as needed, including re-grouting and replacing damaged tiles. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and painters, to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in tile setting or related construction work. Proficient in the use of hand tools such as tile cutters, chisels, and trowels. Familiarity with power tools used in tile installation. Understanding of carpentry principles as they relate to tile setting. Ability to read and interpret schematics and design plans accurately. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
